Krona Group increases productivity by 20% and transforms IT governance with SoftExpert
At Krona Group, which oversees the brands Krona, Viqua, Elleve, Novii and Top-Max, the IT department set out to strengthen its governance model to keep pace with the growing complexity of internal demands. Although agile methodologies were already part of the team’s routine, the lack of integration between tools limited visibility and control over initiatives.
The main challenge was fragmented management. Kanban was used in isolation, while project management lacked a unified official platform. This disconnect made it difficult to track demands, reduced the accuracy of delivery monitoring and created visibility gaps regarding effort, team capacity and strategic prioritization.
The turning point came in March 2024 with the adoption of SoftExpert Suite. The platform enabled the integration of workflow, Kanban and project management within a single environment. With this integration, sprints began automatically feeding the project work breakdown structure, ensuring full traceability of demands and eliminating so-called “ghost tasks.” In addition, a governance flow was established to function as a prioritization funnel, directing the team toward initiatives that truly support business strategy.
The impact was immediate. IT gained full visibility into demand lead times, including response times from internal departments. Within two years, team productivity increased by 20% without expanding headcount. Today, leadership relies on management dashboards and boards to size teams, prioritize projects and make decisions based on real data on effort and capacity, transforming IT from a reactive function into a strategic driver of growth for the Krona Group.
