SoftExpert took part in America Digital México 2026, a technology and business congress held on June 9 and 10 in Mexico City. In addition to exhibiting at the event, the company closed out the first day with an executive cocktail reception that brought IT leaders from companies such as MetLife, AstraZeneca, Siemens, and Qualitas into the same room.

One of the region's biggest technology gatherings

América Digital México draws more than 5,000 attendees per edition, including CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and digital transformation leaders from across the Americas, over two days of conferences and business meetings.

The event features more than 200 booths and around 2,000 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between technology buyers and vendors, covering topics that range from artificial intelligence and cloud to cybersecurity, Industry 4.0, and e-commerce.

Who was at the table

The cocktail reception took place on the evening of June 9, right after the first day of the congress wrapped up, at Ainá Rooftop. From 7 to 11 p.m., guests were able to build genuine connections in an elegant, welcoming setting made for networking.

Those in attendance included Arturo Grapa, CIO of MetLife; Manuel Herrera, Site IT Director for LATAM at AstraZeneca; and Eduardo Calleja, Information Security Manager at Qualitas Compañía de Seguros.

The problem most regulated industries still carry around

The guest list brought together executives from the insurance, pharmaceutical, and industrial manufacturing sectors — areas where a compliance failure or a poorly handled audit can be costly for a company. These are professionals who deal, day in and day out, with the very problems SoftExpert works to solve.

During the evening's content segment, Laiz Del Moro, Country Manager at SoftExpert Italy, and Giulio Massarutto, Quality and Compliance Director at MW.FEP, presented the MW.FEP management case to the guests. MW.FEP, a supplier certified to the ISO 13485 and AS9100 standards, came to the company with a scenario that's familiar in this kind of industry: nonconformities recorded in scattered spreadsheets, corrective actions with no traceability, and audits that kept turning up the same gaps.

Laiz and Giulio showed the leaders in attendance how adopting the QMS changed the company's management flow. MW.FEP now keeps structured records that include root-cause analysis, CAPA tracking, and effectiveness verification — all within a single system.
