Driven by its commitment to continuous innovation, SoftExpert has announced the latest update to SoftExpert Suite 3.0, packed with several new features. This release focuses on expanding the use of artificial intelligence into processes that, until now, relied heavily on intensive manual data entry—such as project creation, document reviews, meetings, and regulatory compliance analysis.

While the list of updates is extensive, the underlying logic remains the same: reducing repetitive tasks and providing better context for decision-makers. This is made possible by the system's innovative AI, which goes beyond a standalone chatbot to integrate directly into the platform’s existing workflows.

Project Creation from Text Descriptions

In the project management module, the new assisted creation feature allows users to describe a project in natural language and automatically receive a complete structure containing tasks, assignees, deadlines, and dependencies. The system interprets the text and populates the fields automatically.

Since building projects from scratch requires familiarity with planning best practices that not every user possesses, creation errors often surface later during execution. The assisted creation feature mitigates these risks by addressing them at the very beginning of the project.

Ensuring No Meeting Decision Slips Through the Cracks

Users logging meetings in the system will also benefit from a new capability. Once topics and decisions are documented, the AI identifies necessary next steps and generates a structured action plan. Furthermore, if Outlook integration is active, meeting audio transcriptions can be pulled in to provide additional context.

In practice, this feature solves a pain point every manager understands: meetings ending with commitments that are never officially formalized. The meeting details interface has also been redesigned, featuring auto-save, fewer mandatory fields, and a timeline view to help identify scheduling conflicts before they become an issue.

Document Comparison Made Easier

Within the document module, the update upgrades the revision comparison feature. Previously, users had to manually analyze files to see what had changed. Now, the AI generates a text summary explaining the differences between versions.

This update is particularly valuable for auditing, approval, and compliance processes, where quickly grasping changes is critical before moving forward.

Strategic Maps and New Chart Types

Two updates arrive for strategic analysis and planning. The first is a step-by-step wizard for building strategic maps. The second introduces two new chart types: heatmaps and geographic maps. Both are fully interactive, supporting drill-down and drill-up capabilities, and dynamically update other on-screen visualizations based on user selections.

Compliance: Greater Agility, Fewer Risks

Moving to compliance, the new AI Compliance Reader allows compliance analysts to upload regulatory PDFs—such as laws, regulations, or internal policies—and automatically extract and organize requirements. Users can also interact with the AI via chat to refine the results.

The Operational Side of the Update

Beyond AI, the update brings changes that impact day-to-day operations. For instance, exporting and importing document categories between environments simplifies deployment for companies that must validate configurations before moving to production—a frequent requirement in regulated industries like Life Sciences.

Additionally, the update introduces spreadsheet-based record importing into responsive forms, supporting up to 100,000 records per import with background processing, as well as content blocks available within Word Online via an add-in.

Finally, another standout operational feature is offline file editing, featuring automatic synchronization once a connection is reestablished. For cloud customers wanting to test new modules before purchasing, 30-day trials have been enabled for components like OKR, Kanban, and Drive. Portal improvements include the ability to disable tabs, reorder cards, and request access to specific views.
