For 54 years in the Brazilian market, Laboratório Globo has been building a history of competence and quality, producing a diversified line of products. Its headquarters, in São José da Lapa, Greater Belo Horizonte region, with approximately 12,000 m², was built entirely according to the quality standards required by the Ministry of Health. Globo products reach Brazilian states through an extensive distribution network. Its customer service system gained more agility, while tests, research, and intense development point to new product launches. Already operating in the generics market, Laboratório Globo currently presents itself as one of the largest industries in the mining segment and is in rapid growth.

Challenge
Laboratório Globo, one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in Minas Gerais (Brazil), faced the urgent need to improve its Quality Management System (QMS). This required the development of a process mapping project for all sectors of the organization, supported by external consulting to ensure compliance with strict control and quality standards required by the Ministry of Health for the pharmaceutical segment.
The Solution
To meet these needs, Laboratório Globo opted for SoftExpert solutions, strategically choosing six modules to maximize the improvement of product and process quality. According to Randel Moreira, the Laboratory’s IT Manager, the choice was based on the software’s ability to operate in a web environment, allowing flexible and remote document access and processing. Another differential was the possibility of customizing many parameters without the need for development, which aligned with the company’s urgency. SoftExpert solutions also supported access from workstations using the Linux operating system and deployment on Linux servers, which reduced project costs and allowed for increased investment in training and the acquisition of other modules.
The Results
The implementation of SoftExpert solutions brought positive results for Laboratório Globo. Document processing began to yield positive effects for the industrial division, with the time between document creation and publication being optimized as users became more familiar with the tool. The SoftExpert project was implemented quickly, and user adoption of the solution occurred naturally, meeting the pharmaceutical segment’s legal requirement to work with reliable and secure records that guarantee product quality and do not pose risks to the population. The six acquired modules were fundamental in maximizing the improvement of product and process quality at Laboratório Globo, consolidating management and internal control.
