With over 40 years in the Brazilian steel market and a portfolio of 16,000 clients, Grupo Aço Cearense stands out in the industry for its significant presence: it has a production capacity of 1 million tons of steel per year and reported a revenue of 3.6 billion in 2020.

Replacing a solution with high costs that did not meet the company’s requirements

Aço Cearense was looking for a tool that would meet the compliance needs of its business areas and be accessible to all group units. Agueda Karoline Farias, Management and Process Analyst at Aço Cearense, recalls that the company went to the market seeking a simple solution with a user-friendly interface, available to all employees and units. “The challenge was to replace a solution with high costs that did not meet the company’s requirements,” she comments.

Document management and ease of use

According to Farias, the choice for SoftExpert Excellence Suite was mainly motivated by the excellent support provided locally by RC Consultoria – SoftExpert’s business partner. The full compliance with the technical requirements of the document management project and the tool’s ease of use were also decisive factors in the final decision. Currently, over 150 areas, in five units, are served by the SoftExpert ECM solution for document and content management, providing flexibility and centralization of information in a single location. Now, the company expects to use BPM solution components for process and form automation; integrate systems already used within the company, such as the training process managed by HR; and carry out consensus and approval tasks via smartphones.

Document Management Process

The analyst points out that the tool promptly met the group’s expectations, which was looking for a unified corporate platform. “Besides reducing by 50% the time dedicated to the Document Management process, we gained speed in task execution,” she evaluates.
