Challenge
According to Filipe Borges, Integrated Management Analyst at Belgo Bekaert Arames, the company faced the challenge of adapting its processes to the strict Document Control requirements established by the ISO 9001 - Quality Management Systems standard. It was crucial to modernize how the approximately 3,500 documents comprising the Integrated Management System were managed. The urgent need was to find a solution that would allow the document control system to be updated preventively, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

With the implementation of SoftExpert Document, Belgo Bekaert Arames achieved significant benefits. The main ones were: agility and precision in document distribution, optimization of the review workflow, and a remarkable 75% reduction in the total time dedicated to document management. The solution is used by approximately 400 users across seven company facilities (MG, SP, and BA), covering areas from Sales to Production, and support departments such as HR, Projects, Environment, and Safety, managing about 3,500 documents of the Integrated Management System. The main challenge overcome was training employees to use this new digital platform, a natural process in any new software implementation.
Next Steps
Driven by satisfaction with SoftExpert Document, Belgo Bekaert Arames is already planning to expand the project. The next step involves applying the SoftExpert Performance module for Indicator Management. This module will allow monitoring crucial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and managing all business indicators on a single, centralized platform. With it, it will be possible to create visual dashboards, compare KPIs with operational and strategic objectives to ensure organizational alignment, managing business performance more holistically, and not just measuring results.
