Hospital Santa Rita is a leading healthcare provider serving the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The hospital holds Level 3 accreditation, the highest certification awarded by ONA – the National Accreditation Organization, which assesses the quality and safety of healthcare services in Brazil and is recognized internationally by ISQUA, the International Society for Quality in Health Care.

Data Control and Process Management

With the goal of continuously improving its services—prioritizing patient safety and enhancing the experience of patients, companions, and staff—Hospital Santa Rita sought a solution that would provide end-to-end quality process management and data control. The objective was to drive continuous improvement in activities and organizational results, while reducing reliance on spreadsheets and manual records, which often generate rework and consume significant time.

Document Management Automation

Through the SoftExpert Suite solution, the hospital automated the management of documents, processes, risks, audits, and trainings, as well as the monitoring of operational, tactical, and strategic performance. Currently, approximately 800 employees and partners across all 52 hospital departments use SoftExpert to support all quality management activities and strategic initiatives. Pâmela Loureiro, Quality Manager, explains that the Quality Management team adapted quickly to the features and parameters offered by the tool:

Certified Quality

With the software fully implemented, its accessibility, agile functionalities, and effective information control support strategic decision-making. The results are reflected in both internal and external recognition. The Quality team has even showcased their management model for various recognition programs and initiatives promoting continuous improvement and excellence.

Hospital Santa Rita currently holds the highest ONA accreditation, Level 3. ONA (National Accreditation Organization) is the leading national certification for healthcare services and is recognized by ISQUA (International Society for Quality in Health Care), the world’s foremost organization promoting quality improvement and patient safety in healthcare. Another key factor in the successful implementation and effective use of SoftExpert Excellence Suite at the hospital is the technical expertise of TNX Brasil, SoftExpert’s business partner, responsible for implementation and client support.
