The Challenge
Gestamp faced document management failures, evidenced by non-conformities in external audits, and the lack of document integration across the entire company. This resulted in excessive bureaucracy, manual processes with outdated spreadsheets, high time costs, and difficulties in calibration management and involving all departments in document management.
The Solution
Gestamp invested in SoftExpert solutions, specifically SoftExpert EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and SoftExpert ECM (Enterprise Content Management), which are part of the SoftExpert Excellence Suite. These integrated solutions automated non-conformity management, streamlined document flow, reduced bureaucracy and time costs, and professionalized calibration management. The 100% web-based, multi-language platform allows for the use of existing document structures and facilitates user adaptation (similar to Windows), avoiding time loss on accumulated work.
The Results
The implementation of SoftExpert solutions brought multiple benefits to Gestamp: increased productivity, cost reduction, compliance with ISO 9000, IATF 16949, and ISO 14000, a 50% reduction in production printings, savings from improved document and information management in all areas, minimized management time, and increased user motivation.
