The Japanese manufacturer, whose customers include Mitsubishi, Ford and Volkswagen, contracted SoftExpert software to manage the Quality department at its recently opened factory in Alabama.
SoftExpert, a provider of software and services for automation and enhancement in business processes, regulatory compliance and corporate governance, has a new customer in the United States, where it recently opened an office. That customer is the recently opened factory in Jasper, Alabama, of Japanese multinational Yorozu Corporation, a manufacturer of automotive suspensions.
The multinational acquired the SoftExpert Excellence Suite, SoftExpert's flagship software, to manage documents, control non-compliance and manage APQP/PPAP, among other activities, at its Quality Department.
Implementation will start with SE Document, a component geared towards managing documents and records. Next SE EQM will be implemented to manage enterprise quality processes. Finally, the SE APQP/PPAP Pack, which includes the SE Action Plan, SE Analytics, SE APQP, SE Asset, SE FMEA, SE MSA, SE PDM, SE Process, SE Project and SE Time Control modules will be included.
Headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, Yorozu ended FY 2015 with consolidated sales of JPY 172.797 billion, according to results reported in 2016, and the company has over 7,250 employees worldwide. The multination's customers include the world's biggest automakers, such as Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford, Renault and Volkswagen.
This new client is reinforcing SoftExpert's operations in North America, where the company also services clients such as the Smiths Medical, Fitesa and Dekalb multinationals. The company recently announced that it is opening an office in the United States which will be run by Kelson Lunardelli, who acted as SoftExpert's CCO for 16 years.
SoftExpert also recently opened another international operation in Mexico. In total, the Brazilian company already has operations on every continent, totaling over 300,000 users at 2,000 organizations. In 2016, in the international market alone, the company did over BRL 12 million in business, accounting for growth of nearly 30% in relation to 2015.
Its internationalization strategy has been working: over the last 5 years, SoftExpert has achieved average annual organic export growth of around 30%. The company's next goal is to grow its operations in Europe, Asia and North America, in addition to the G20 countries, focusing on reaching 2020 with export revenue making up nearly 50% of all revenues.
