Europe: SoftExpert offers cloud infrastructure in partnership with AWS

Published on 04/09/2024

The objective is to improve local service and expand customer base in the EMEA region

In partnership with Amazon Web Services, SoftExpert Software has just launched an infrastructure in Europe for its Cloud Computing and Hosting offerings. In order to serve the EMEA region, the company, which specializes in software and services for automation and the improvement of business processes, regulatory compliance and corporate governance, intends to increase their services with the new infrastructure, as the location will bring performance gains and improvements in the compliance with local policies.

"Our business strategy in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Asia) has fortunately been developing in a sustainable way and we have decided to make a datacenter available on the European continent," said Ricardo Lepper, CEO of SoftExpert. "This action, in partnership with a global cloud computing partner such as AWS, increases our investments in the international market, which has been a priority in the company's growth strategy," he adds.

SoftExpert and AWS have had a partnership for 5 years. Before launching the infrastructure project in Europe, the Brazilian company already offered the service from Brazil and the United States, with the same partner.

According to Lepper, the main benefits in offering the service in conjunction with the AWS cloud are reduced costs for customers, which can be as much as 30% of TCO by eliminating the need for investments in hardware acquisitions or upgrades for application servers and databases, as well as the guarantee of professional services in the management of the IT infrastructure and the systems that run on it.

In addition, the user gains through the implementation and updating of software versions (corrective or evolutions), with constant improvements, carried out twice a week, by the extensive network of specialists at SoftExpert, who can identify and solve problems not yet reported, thus avoiding problems and business downtime.

The service also includes new functions added every 3 months and a decrease of approximately 80% in calls related to the operating environment during the implementation, updating and use of the system.

"SoftExpert customers who have already started using the cloud are reaping benefits such as the high performance provided by a very well designed structure, reduced need for hardware and software investments, a sharp drop in calls for customer support for the operating environment and shorter times to solve problems. In addition, we have a specialized team to manage the infrastructure and the procedures to the highest possible standards," Renan Floriani, Director of SoftExpert Services, emphasizes.

The investment in the offer of cloud and hosting services in Europe is part of a strategy of actions by SoftExpert in the international market. The company recently opened offices in the United States and Mexico, in addition to signing a partnership with Ricoh for selling its solutions in Colombia.

SoftExpert has more than 300 thousand users in 2 thousand customer organizations around the world. In 2016, in the international market alone, the company had a volume of business of more than R$ 12 million, representing a growth of about 30% over the previous year.

In the last 5 years, SoftExpert has had an average organic expansion rate of 30% per year in exports. After the investment in Europe, with the launching of the local infrastructure to provide cloud computing services, the Brazilian company plans to expand its software resale operations in Europe, Asia and North America, as well as the G20 countries.

"The target is to reach 2020 with SoftExpert's sales revenue exceeding 50% of this total revenue, and the total amount paid by international customers to be more than double the amount paid by Brazilians. Our presence as an important player on all continents of the world is an irreversible process due to the fundamental groundwork we have done for almost two decades," Lepper highlights.
