SoftExpert distributor expands operations in Australia and reinforces the company's presence in the country

Looking to strengthen its operations in Australia, Linx Advanced Distribution Solutions - SoftExpert distributor in the country - has recently established partnership with Enterprise Clarity (EC), a boutique consultancy that works with organisations to ensure their processes are matched to business strategy and to operations. The company will work as a SoftExpert reseller, reinforcing SoftExpert’s presence in Australia.
Greg Greeley, director at EC, uses his 30 years in senior executive roles preceded by sales and marketing of complex solutions to talk about the ever-changing market and show his expectations with the partnership.

Managing process is key to creating value as well as fulfilling stakeholder and customer goals. Why is it a priority?
Greg Greeley:
Over the last 10 years, working with global, national and SME businesses, we often see a first-class strategy fail because processes aren’t contributing like they should. Orders are missed. People in different branches action requests based on ‘local rules’, causing work-arounds and ‘temporary’ fixes which stay for years! Confused customers call in, creating a back-load of requests that are costly to put right. To think, all of this inconvenience and expense can be avoided with foresight around how processes are controlled and executed.
Increasingly, organisations migrate processes to on-line services. The experience of the on-line ‘pioneers’, including Amazon, found putting processes on-line puts stress on key dependencies (e.g. data integration) and actually speeds up the rate at which they fail. To gain from your investment on-line, it’s vital to assure high quality, accurate process design, tuned to the business strategy and operating context.

How does Enterprise Clarity help its clients to differentiate their products and services from competitors?
Greg Greeley:
The enterprises that invest in strong alignment of strategy with operations use process as a strategic weapon to do it. The rapid flow of business due to e-commerce, means processes must quickly adapt to new customer opportunities – or you lose them. Ever-changing compliance requirements also mean processes must keep in step with corporate and regulatory obligations – particularly, where you need to comply with an industry code or licence conditions.
Enterprise Clarity assists companies and statutory bodies to keep process tuned to rapidly changing business and compliance environments through the establishment of continuous improvement processes driven by process owners.

What motivated Enterprise Clarity to become SoftExpert’s partner?
Greg Greeley:
Years of experience in this specialist field of designing process to match enterprise goals, emphasise the importance of efficient, accurate capture in an electronic medium. SoftExpert achieves so much more! With today’s processes now available in a graphical, repeatable format, this knowledge is quickly available to the process owner for cross-enterprise collaboration. Gaps in service leading to costly resolution are quickly seen and closed, allowing continuous improvement ‘on the fly’.

What are your expectations with this partnership?
Greg Greeley:
EC is excited by our new association with SoftExpert. The SoftExpert Excellence Suite creates a repeatable, cost-effective frame for clients to access EC intellectual property and business improvement expertise. Whatever your vertical industry, SoftExpert and EC assures a quickly deployed, effective and highly visual medium to assess and improve today’s processes – ready for tomorrow’s needs. Together we are able to rapidly identify the gaps in process execution that cause delays and create re-work, so that you can positively impact enterprise performance for increased customer satisfaction and retention.

In your opinion how SoftExpert products can add value to your current business offers?
Greg Greeley:
Typically companies start with the implementation of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. The goal of which is to reduce their overall use of paper documents. A subsequent phase of an ECM implementation is to replace the physical movement of documents with an electronic orchestration. This is workflow. By facilitating the journey from ECM to workflow, SoftExpert and EC enable adoption of Business Process Management (BPM), a capability that assures repeatable, adaptable and agile processes tuned to the many dynamic situations your enterprise must deal with every day. With BPM comes the understanding to manage, optimise and ‘lean’ your processes. Some companies start with workflow and then graduate to BPM. Some start with BPM.
By allowing today’s “accepted” process to be captured and re-tuned to new customer channels including On-line, SoftExpert and Enterprise Clarity provide a valuable medium for people at every level of your organisation to unlock their experience, challenge and improve processes. Experienced EC facilitators help to avoid the blind alley ways, so the people and technologies behind your process domains head in the right direction, for sustainability and benefits from Lean Enterprise thinking and behaviours.
